The PARCA FoodLink Hub is a community-driven initiative designed to reduce food waste and combat hunger in Peterborough by connecting local shops, supermarkets, and restaurants with food banks, homeless shelters, and charities. The project ensures that surplus food is redirected to support vulnerable individuals and families, particularly those from refugee, asylum seeker, and low-income backgrounds.
This innovative initiative is led by PARCA (Peterborough Asylum and Refugee Community Association) and proudly supported by the Coronation Food Project, an initiative of King Charles III’s Charitable Fund. The Coronation Food Project is a ground-breaking programme that responds to an urgent and growing challenge: how to reduce food waste while combating hunger. It is a lasting legacy of His Majesty King Charles III’s lifelong commitment to sustainability and social justice.
By working collaboratively with local food businesses and community partners, the FoodLink Hub is building a sustainable, inclusive food network—one that not only meets immediate nutritional needs but also fosters long-term community resilience and environmental responsibility.
Together, we’re turning surplus into support—one meal at a time.
